After a lifetime, I strongly suspect that abstinence is the only effective deterrent to alcohol's toxic effects.

I was drinking almost every day, not heavily but half a bottle of red wine on average with dinner. I stopped a month ago and shifted to near beer, 1%, when I want the taste of alcohol. Funny thing is, I didn't drink beer at all for many years. haha. That will be super easy to stop.

this information is helpful for people's health. some may not have any idea that due to their genetics, the alcohol they are drinking will deteriorate their life.

To be honest, I was unaware of the extent to which alcohol affected me. For years, I loved the taste of red wine, but after my late son and granddaughters died—a Drucken driver—I stopped drinking. I did not drink much anyway, but as you mentioned, even a small amount of alcohol is unhealthy. Plus i saw the effect it had on family life with my dads addiction to it.
