A private space for us to converse and connect
Dear Subscribers, I trust this message finds you well.
Today, I’m announcing a new addition to my Substack publication, Health and Wellness, by Dr Mehmet Yildiz, a subscriber chat to inform and inspire my subscribers. I now support 29K+ subscribers on Substack, and my plan is to have 100K Subscribers by the end of the year. Why my stories don’t get as many views as they used to on Medium? Gratefully, they reached millions via Newsbreak and Substack. Here are the stats for the last 30 days on NewsBreak.
This means that 7 million readers viewed my post, 472K read them, 9K liked them, and 4.4K shared them in their networks.
I created this conversation space exclusively for subscribers from NewsBreak, Medium, Substack, LinkedIn, Facebook, Quora, Vocal Media, Reddit, and my website, like a group chat or live hangout for knowledge sharing. I’ll post questions and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion to create a healthy dialogue.
The first chat thread is to understand your health issues and aspirations and plan to address them. I can be a soundboard and also provide you with my research, observations, and experiences on both physical and mental health topics. My content on Mental Health was assessed as one of the top 10 thought leaders by Thinkers 360 last year, making a 96% global impact.
I struggled with multiple health conditions like prediabetes, abdominal obesity, leaky gut, anemia, Vitamin B12 deficiency, skin issues, brain fog, and more in my younger years, which I reversed successfully, making me healthier, younger, and happier as I got older.
Apart from scientific papers and books, I documented them in detail to inform and inspire my readers in my personal publication, EUHORIA, on Medium. However, those personal stories that once illuminated my large audience were buried under the dust after Medium changed the algorithm. Therefore, I will distill those 2000+ life lessons here and make them available to my subscribers.
During these conversations, you can ask me and the participants questions. I will also invite medical doctors, health scientists, and mental health thought leaders from my circle to answer questions that I cannot. I made some of them the co-authors of this short post, so you may follow them and explore their content as they also have their own newsletters on Substack. Collaboration can bring synergistic outcomes to us.
As a principle, I don’t give advice, but I give perspectives, high-quality/credible information, insights, and inspiration based on my decades of research and experiments with collaboration in science and sensible biohacking communities.
During these conversations, I can help you ask powerful questions to your qualified healthcare professionals, like GPs or specialists. I empowered many readers, and their doctors contacted me, saying until their patients asked them for a specific biomarker or an emerging treatment method, they were not even aware of it.
The most recent one was about LPIR, which I documented in detail. Interestingly and sadly, most GPs were not aware of this critical test indicating heart disease and stroke risks, and they mainly focused on LDL missing such a critical biomarker with significant scientific evidence in the medical literature that I closely investigated as part of my postdoctoral research and adjunct professorship in Australian universities.
I also recently posted a story on Substack titled The Coronary Calcium Scan: Why Everyone After 30 Should Try It. It helped many subscribers who did not know about their cardiovascular risks. I will share more empowering stories like these soon and answer questions via these chat sessions.
As a holistic and integrative health advocate, my focus is on healthy lifestyle choices and interventions with the support of qualified healthcare professionals. However, I don’t shy away from experimenting with proven pharmacological or supplementary approaches when needed. I document my research and experiences independently to share my truth transparently without the fear of being judged.
Thank you for joining us and sharing your experiences with our new community.
How to get started
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web. I use Substack Notes via the web, and it is easier for me. I cannot use my mobile well.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
I look forward to conversing with you.
If you are a writer or plan to create newsletters for your business, you can join our new Substack Mastery community to educate, empower, inspire, and promote the content of our subscribers. It was launched yesterday and already 26000+ members subscribed. It will be a massive and supportive community. As a giveback activity, I will lead with the support of founding members.
If you are interested in technology leadership and content strategy, I will also write about these topics to empower subscribers. You can subscribe to the relevant ones below.
Thank you for the invitation, Dr Mehmet Yildiz. I am honored to be part of the project with many people I value and admire.
Let's make the world a better place and enjoy the ride!
Thank you for the kind invitation Dr Yildiz. It be an absolute pleasure for me to participate in this forum. Your mentorship and guidance mean a lot to me. I am now learning the mechanistic aspect of Substack and enjoy it already. I will also transfer my Health and Science pub here. Unfortunately Medium does not understand its value. Around 500 healthcare professionals contribute to it but the views are declining. When I post something to Substack it gets massive views. I shared my thoughts in a recent story and Medium directors did not bother to explain. https://medium.com/p/2d340433410d
